Temperate Grassland Animal Life
Prairie dogs, Foxes, and Quails are animals found in the Temperate Grassland. Prairie dogs have strong hinds legs to stand on to look for danger. Foxes adapt with their sharp claws so they can dig into the ground. Quails often travel in groups to confuse predators and they camouflage well.
The bison lives in the temperate grasslands of North America. They are one of the largest land mammals on earth. The bison travel in huge herds and migrate over the continent. Don't let the looks fool you, bison are fast runners. They can run right after birth. They have large flat teeth for chewing grass and thick fur to keep them warm.
