Bears, cougars, raccoons and elk all live in temperate rain forests, and they all adapt in different ways. The bear will hibernate in the winter. The cougar grows very strong claws to hunt its prey. The raccoon can eat almost anything so when winter comes and food is hard to come by, the raccoon can survive. Lastly the elk has antlers to fight off its predators and attract mates.
