LOCATION AND CLIMATE
Snow falls on both poles almost year round. The harsh winds and bitter cold make survival hard.
In both of the poles, there is no soil or fresh water anywhere. Once the ice ends, all there is only salt water. The weather for the poles differs. Arctic summers range from 3 degrees to 14 degrees Celsius, with winters getting as low as -30 degrees. Antarctica summers range from 9 degrees on the coast to -30 inland. They have recorded a record low temperature of -89 degrees Celsius.
